ABOUT THE PLAY
Big-city radio personality Charlie King just lost his job hosting a hit morning show. And his long-term relationship exploded in a spectacularly embarrassing on-air meltdown. When he’s forced to take a job managing a small-town station, he has no idea what’s in store! Not only does a global pandemic begin his first week in Port Belette, he quickly finds himself chasing a story of municipal corruption. Chase the Ace is a hilarious one-man comedy about a down-on-his-luck DJ, a local lottery, and the search for truth in unprecedented times.
ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT
One of Canada’s most popular playwrights, Mark’s work has been produced across the country and internationally. Neptune has previously produced two of his plays: Stag and Doe and The New Canadian Curling Club. Mark is also the author of Bed and Breakfast; The Birds and the Bees; Boys, Girls, and Other Mythological Creatures; The Gig; and The Golden Anniversaries. His newest play, Ruby and the Reindeer, premiered in December, 2025 at Here for Now Theatre. Many of Mark’s plays are published by Scirocco Drama. Also an actor, Mark has performed on stages from coast to coast. Recent credits include Murder on the Orient Express (Theatre Aquarius), Liars at a Funeral and Crazy for You (Drayton Entertainment), and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Mirvish). Mark grew up in Southwestern Ontario, studied at University of Toronto and Sheridan College, and now lives in Stratford.
