Lou Campbell (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist, writer and director based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, NS. Their practice traverses many mediums including performance, clown, stand-up, drag, poetry, sound art, and improv. They create work that unpacks the inner workings of their own experiences, usually manifesting in the open sharing of mortifying past mistakes. In 2022, they wrote and starred in a one person show called PRUDE which received praise from critics and audiences alike. PRUDE continues to tour. They also co-run a cross-province collective based in Toronto and Halifax called Probably Theatre Collective (PTC). PTC creates new theatrical experiences such as "Underwater Overwater" and "This Inescapable City," using devised writing and creation methods. PTC also runs events and exhibitions that facilitate the creation of new work by other artists in their respective communities.
