Kodie Rollan & Alixandra Cowman

Kodie Rollan & Alixandra Cowman is a musical theatre writing duo from Calgary, AB. Individually, Kodie is a Philippine-born, Scarborough-raised, Moh'kins'tsis (Calgary)-based playwright, dramaturg, arts leader, and producer. As a playwright, he is keenly interested in creating stories that explores the various intersections of equity and justice. As a dramaturg and arts leader, he is passionate about creating care-based environments that allow for artists to dream their dreamiest dreams. Alixandra Cowman is an award-winning composer and theatre artist based in Mohkinstsis (Calgary, Alberta). She is constantly interested in discovering how music and sound can enhance, influence, and alter live storytelling. Theatrical sound design credits include Grand Magic, Richard II, Wedding Band (Stratford Festival); Gaslight (Vertigo Theatre); The Importance Of Being Earnest (Theatre Calgary). Alixandra's original musical written with playwright Cayley Wreggitt Home For The Holidays recently received its world premiere at Lunchbox Theatre in December 2022. Home For The Holidays received 2 Betty Mitchell Awards for both Best Sound Design/Composition and Best Musical. Kodie and Alix have been a writing duo since 2021 working on their piece, Little Elves.
