Bet O'Toole

Bet O’Toole is a retired teacher, actor, director, and playwright living in Saint John NB. She has been a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada since 2005. Her play “Lily's Song” was performed at the Saint John Imperial Theatre in 2005 and 2008, raising $15,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society. Over the years eight of her One Act plays were selected from the Saint John Theatre Company’s Maritime Playwriting Competition for performance. One of these, “The Spider in the Tub” presented by SJTC in 2019, won a competition by Act 111 Productions, along with 3 others, for a workshop reading in 2023. Her full-length play "The Land of Beauty” was debuted by the Saint John Theatre Company June 8th-11th, 2022.
