Based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, The Villains Theatre is dedicated to creating transformative theatrical experiences. Run by Artistic Director Dan Bray and Artistic Producer Colleen Arcturus MacIsaac, we collaborate with artists who inspire us and are dedicated to providing opportunities for emerging and established artists. Scrappily operating in beautiful Mi'kma'ki since 2009, our work is vibrant, provocative, and full of play. Often funny, sometimes spooky, always honest, we focus on new plays and adaptations that address what it is to be a human in the contemporary context, with works covering a wide range of interests and methodologies including comedy, drama, performance art, parody, micro experiments and decades-long development.
