PARC Announces Workshop with Yvonne Wallace (Pan-Atlantic/Online)

Feb 18, 2025

Thanks to funding from Nova Scotia Communities, Culture, Tourism & Heritage, we are thrilled to offer for the fifth consecutive year a series of online classes, workshops, and a panel conversation with award-winning playwrights and dramaturges.

In the next instalment of PARC’s 2025 Workshops, join playwright Yvonne Wallace to discuss theatre’s power to reclaim and impart knowledge about ancestral language. The workshop will focus on using Indigenous language to influence the world of story-making. Yvonne will touch on how Indigenous language holds information related to cultural identity and ways of governing. This workshop will allow participants to explore how to integrate bilingual works and hold space for first languages of origin.

This event is free to PARC Members and Indigenous Artists. Fee for non-members: $25.
