The 2023 PARC Retreat happened at Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB from May 7-21, 2023!
In 2023 the selected playwrights were Jude Benoit (Newfoundland and Labrador), Xaiver Michael Campbell (Newfoundland and Labrador), Robert Chafe (Newfoundland and Labrador), Caroline Coon (New Brunswick), Wanda Graham (Nova Scotia), Benton Hartley (Prince Eduard Island), Natalie Meisner (Alberta/Nova Scotia), Karen Monie (Newfoundland and Labrador/Ontario) and Riley Reign (Nova Scotia).
The Retreat offers the most intensive writing opportunity for playwrights in this region. It provides playwrights with the time to write, reflect and develop their work in a supportive and nurturing environment. Writers benefit from the one-on-one assistance of a professional dramaturge and the expertise of a company of professional workshop actors.
