PARC is thrilled to announce the dramaturges for the 2025 PARC Retreat!
The annual Playwrights’ Retreat, PARC’s flagship program, is a two-week playwrights residency open to emerging and established playwrights in Atlantic Canada and beyond. At the Retreat, playwrights from across the Atlantic region and beyond will have an opportunity to further develop a new script. The Retreat offers the most intensive writing opportunity for playwrights in this region. It provides playwrights with the time to write, reflect and develop their work in a supportive and nurturing environment. Writers benefit from the one-on-one assistance of a professional dramaturge and the expertise of a company of professional workshop actors. This year’s retreat will take place at Mount Allison University in Tantramar, NB from May 4-18, 2025!
This year’s writers will receive dramaturgical support from Natasha Greenblatt, PARC AD Santiago Guzmán, former PARC AD Pamela Halstead, PARC Artistic Associate Lara Lewis, PARC Membership and Communications Coordinator Jena McLean, and Mike Payette. These dramaturges will offer direct, customized feedback to playwrights, lead workshop sessions with the acting cohort, and guide discussions to ensure the playwrights make the most of every opportunity to learn more about their script.
