After two years as our Membership and Communications Coordinator, PARC is sad to say goodbye to Ana Pitol. We’re so grateful to Ana and her years of hard work — particularly on these weekly bulletins! — and we wish her all the best in her artistic endeavours.
Simultaneously, PARC is excited to announce our incoming Communications and Membership Coordinator: Jena McLean! We’re excited to welcome Jena to the team and know she’s thrilled at the opportunity to assist Atlantic Canadian playwrights on their artistic journeys.
Jena McLean (she/they) is a queer playwright and dramaturge who recently lectured at St. Thomas University. Recent plays include Like Confetti, How to Give Yourself a [Redacted], and MFG (Magical Fat Girl). Recent dramaturgy credits include Hilary Wheeler’s The List, Jessie Walker’s Horse Girls, and Mara Teare’s Sad Girls Watch the Princess Bride. Jena’s work explores life’s grey areas, personalizes the political, and aims to empower people to feel seen in theatre.
For the month of October, Ana will train Jena, teaching them the ins and outs of the role and its duties. If there are any questions regarding membership or communications during this time, you can direct them to [email protected], as usual.
