PARC Launches Equity Community Survey (Pan-Atlantic)

Aug 20, 2024

PARC is conducting a survey of equity-owed community members to help improve our programming that is designed to serve them.

By equity-seeking, we mean, but may not be limited to: people of the global majority, including Indigenous people, people of African descent, and other racialized persons; members of disability communities; members of the 2SLGBTQ+ communities, and the intersections therein.

In 2020, PARC began two initiatives called “Let’s Talk” and “Let’s Write”, aimed at IBPOC playwrights, in direct response to Black Lives Matter. These programs were structured as monthly invitational Zoom meetings. As we are no longer under lockdown, attendance rates have lowered for these online sessions. We’re interested in receiving feedback to ensure the sessions are being used to their fullest potential, which may include broadening the program to more equity-owed communities.

The goal of this programming, and other programming like it, is to provide professional development opportunities to equity-owed communities with the eventual goal of improving representation in artistic spaces.

We appreciate your time and responses.
