PARC to Hire Assistant Retreat Coordinator; Call for Applications (NB)

PARC is hiring! We are looking for a Mt. A student located in Tantramar with strong communication skills, adaptability, and a collaborative nature for our Assistant Retreat Coordinator position.

The Senior and Assistant Retreat Interns are the primary hosts of the participating playwrights in the 2025 Playwrights’ Retreat (May 4-18, 2025) and should have a good understanding of the resources on the Mount Allison University campus, the town of Tantramar, and basic administrative tasks. Outreach with the Tantramar community, local businesses, local artists, and Mount Allison University make up much of the preparation before the Retreat alongside corresponding with the playwrights and actors.

The Retreat Assistant should be prepared to collaborate on outreach, organize scheduled events, draft agreements, and develop a comfortable environment for all participants. They will establish and maintain an effective filing system for letters, emails, reports, and other documents during and after the Retreat. Additionally, they will be assigned to multiple playwrights’ scripts to organize their readings, dramaturgy sessions, and promotional interviews for social media.

Digital skills (Google Docs, Zoom, etc) and familiarity with playwriting or dramaturgy are an asset. The PARC Retreat Assistant will work under the supervision of the PARC Artistic Director, Artistic Associate and Student Intern/Senior Retreat Coordinator.
