Synopsis
The Lighthouse is a very moving one act play; a lovely piece for a young male actor. A boy lives on an island where his father keeps the light; events lead him to question his very existence. The language is beautiful, the imagery mysterious, and the boy’s story, intriguing and heartbreaking.

The original French play won the Prix de Souffleur 2002 and the prize awarded by Journées d’auteurs de théâtre in Lyon.

Timothée de Fombelle’s "Le Phare" was first produced in September 2001 at Théâtre du Marais in Paris.
