Dan Bray

Dan Bray (he/him) is a multidisciplinary artist from Kjipuktuk/Halifax, currently enjoying Antigonish life as the winter-caretaker-of-a-remote-manor/writer. As the Artistic Director of The Villains Theatre, he has written and directed many shows, including "Zomblet" and "Arden," both of which earned him a Merritt Award nomination for "Outstanding New Play by a Nova Scotian"; his other original plays, "The Return to Baker Street" and "Criminal Negligee" both earned him the "Best New Play" award at the Halifax Fringe. Dan has had the good fortune to work with many of Nova Scotia’s finest companies, including Two Planks & a Passion, Mulgrave Road, Zuppa Theatre, Shakespeare by the Sea, Eastern Front, Xara Choral, Phyllis Rising, Matchstick, Terra Novella, Lions Den, and more. He was also the 2021 Festival Coordinator for Antigonight: Art After Dark Festival and a member of the 2019 EFT Playwright's Unit.
