Brianna Russell

Brianna is a playwright and filmmaker based out of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Toronto, Ontario. Brianna’s work has been shown across Newfoundland at various venues and festivals, recently including ‘ICARUS IS FALLING’ at the St. John’s Short Play Festival. Her latest short film, Powdered Dandelions has played at festivals across Canada and around the world, and she is the latest recipient of the 2022 RBC Michelle Jackson Emerging Filmmaker Award. Brianna is studying film at Toronto Metropolitan University.
