Sophie Wilcott

Sophie Wilcott (they/she) is a K'jipuktuk/Halifax-based emerging theatre artist. Come may, they will be graduating Dalhousie Fountain School of Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Theatre (Acting) and a certificate in Dance & Movement. In their experience as an actor, director, and choreographer, they have collaborated with the Atlantic Repertory Company, Theatre New Brunswick, Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre, Saint John Theatre Company, The Unnatural Disaster Theatre Company, Voice Factory-La Boîte Vocale, Symphony New Brunswick, InterAction School of Performing Arts and Connection Dance Works. They are a recipient of the Fountain School of Performing Arts Undergraduate Scholarship (2019-present), Dalhousie Chancellor Scholarship (2019-present), Arts NB Scholarship (2019 & 2022), and the Christine Zinck (Theatre) Scholarship (2022). Sophie is especially passionate about the correlation between theatre and community development.
