Coral Maloney

Coral Leander Maloney [++++euro/±latina/~unspecified borders] [Atkinson Werz Amaya Torres Krysska] is an interdisciplinary artist based in Kjpuktuk/Halifax. She is professionally trained in performance and theatre and is self-taught in choreography, visual art and dramaturgy. Coral’s collaborative and independent work frequently examines nostalgia and colonial fervour; it invites place-based individual and ancestral reckoning and makes queer mischief through the use of time, space and site-specific embodied experience. Coral’s work has been called “captivating” and “challenging” and has been presented in festivals, magazines, galleries, performance productions and as social intervention in various regions.
