Over the span of her forty-year theatre career Amy House has been a performer, comedienne, writer, producer, and director. For fourteen years Amy was the Artistic Animateur of RCA Theatre Company at the LSPU Hall, where she was at the heart of the development and production of over forty original plays by Newfoundland playwrights. She is a much sought-after performer and comedienne for many special events and private functions. Amy has created and performed several one-woman shows including: The Seven Faces of Amy with Maxim Mazumdar, ’Tis Not Human, her children’s show To Be What You Want To Be, Scratch and Pull which has been published by Breakwater Books. She was co-writer and performer, with Berni Stapleton, in the two-hander A Tidy Package about the collapse of the Newfoundland cod fishery. She is the Host of Towns in Tune, a collaboration between Tyndrum media Productions and South Carolina ETV featuring Lake City, South Carolina and Stephenville, NL. Amy is known for her comedy, advocacy for the arts, and her capacity to work with boards and community. She is a member of CAEA, a Past President of ACTRA Newfoundland and sits on Board of Directors for Business and the Arts Newfoundland Labrador.
