BIO

Cheney Emberg is a multidisciplinary theatre and collage artist from Houston, Texas living in St. John's. They have done theatre for their whole life, focused primarily on acting and directing, and recently began the foray into dramaturgy by dramaturging two of Venus Barrington's plays, as well as started writing their first two plays: one called "The Final Sermon of Avery Joel Wyatt" about a televangelist on the brink of insanity, and one called "Iphis is a Man.", a queer coming of age story centered around Iphis and Ianthe, adapted from the characters found in Ovid's Metamorphoses.
