Jessie Walker (they/she) is a queer, multi-disciplinary artist, theatre-menace, and veritable jack-of-all-trades, originally from unceded Wabanaki land (colonially known as Maine, USA) now based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax! They are the co-founder and artistic manager of Around + Out Theatre Co., an indie company focused on making art that "f$!ks around + finds out." Recent writing credits include their award-winning original production "Horse Girls" with Around + Out, and "Transfigure Transfix," an audio drama premiering in Spring 2025 in collaboration with Ghost Tower Theatre Co.. In her work as a multi-hyphenate performer, producer, playwright, and arts administrator, she has been fortunate to collaborate with many arts organizations across Canada and the US including Shakespeare by the Sea, Prismatic Arts Festival, Arrivals Legacy Project, Ghost Tower Theatre Co., The Unnatural Disaster Theatre Co., The Villain’s Theatre, Threadbare Theatre Workshop, Opera House Arts, Queen Doris Productions, and the Fountain School of Performing Arts. They received their BA in Theatre (Acting) from Dalhousie University in 2023.
