BIO

I was born in Halifax / Kjipuktuk, raised in Cape Breton / Unama’ki, and smartened up by travel. I returned to my birthplace in 2018, shortly after taking in a play for the first time at age 40. I have taken part in the Halifax Fringe Festival with shows in 2019; Great Kettle for the People, a staged reading in 2021 of, I Love How They Love the Sun, and another in 2022, Caught by the Catcher, where I also participated in the 30-day Playwrighting Challenge hosted by Halifax Fringe and the Playwright’s Atlantic Resource Centre, when I wrote, 10AN10NA. I received an honourable mention from the Highland Arts Theatre in Cape Breton for my play proposal of, The Picture Said, in the inaugural RIta Joe National Playwrighting Competition, and I had the honour of attending the 2024 PARC Playwrights Retreat.
