With her partner, Leonhard Unglaub, Logan Kennedy has been translating plays, poetry, art essays, exhibition texts, subtitles, academic books and more from German to English since 2004. Since 2020, she has been active in the community poetry group Spot of Poetry in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, publishing her first poetry chapbook Groping in the Daylight with Spot of Poetry’s Little Books Collective in 2023. Her second Little Books chapbook Overworld Exigencies will be coming out in the autumn of 2024. In 2026, Guernica Editions will be publishing her Translation Chain Project, which explores translating and retranslating a text in a chain involving six languages – a game of not-so-broken telephone. This project grew out of her involvement with her local literary community, as did her development – through peer feedback and a table reading – of her play Storm in Five Acts, about a winter storm in rural and small-town Nova Scotia.
