BIO

Stacy Gardner is a poet, playwright and filmmaker, which she distills down to being a Writer of Stories. She has had her poetry published with Room Magazine, Black Moss Press, City Voices, Horseshoe Literary Magazine and others. Her CBC radio play, "Worms for Sale", was lated adapted and produced for Toronto's New Ideas Festival at Alumnae Theatre, and her short play "After the Sirens" was staged in St. John's, NL at the St. John's Short Play Festival. Her short documentary, "The Gaze", that she directed, and co-wrote, can be found on CBC Gem's Reel East Coast, and has played at such festivals as Atlantic International Film Festival (2023), St. John's International Women's Festival (2023), and others (2024). Her second film, 73 Seconds, premiered at AIFF in Halifax in September 2024, and will be screened in other festivals to be announced. A member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and the Writers Guild of Canada, and a board member with WIFT-AT; Stacy lives in St. John's, NL.
