Lisa Alves (they/she) is an emerging queer playwright and an acclaimed theatre producer based in Tkarón:to near the Wonscontach. Lisa is a member of the PGC and a graduate of Humber College's Theatre Performance Program (2015). Lisa has produced five Dora Mavor Moore Award-nominated plays for Outstanding Productions in the Independent, TYA, and General Theatre Divisions during their tenure as managing producer at Cahoots Theatre, where they co-lead the company with Tanisha Taitt. The productions include Three Ordinary Men, our place, Between a Wok and a Hot Pot, and Sweeter. Lisa was the second-place winner of the 2024 Toronto Fringe’s 24-hour playwriting contest for their new play in-development WE HAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING.
