BIO

Located in Kjipuktuk, Cat is a multidisciplinary artist who has been active on stages around the city for the past 10 years. Prior to that, Cat studied at and received their BA in Theatre and English from Mount Allison University where they were involved in more shows than was reasonable. Cat's first love is musical theatre and their experience there spans from Jesus in "Godspell," Joanne in "Company," Audrey in "Little Shop of Horrors," The Cat in the Hat in "Seussical," to Magenta in "The Rocky Horror Show," Snoopy in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," and many more performances. Cat also takes the stage when they can in non-musical roles such as Zastrozzi in "Zastrozzi, The Master of Discipline," Selsdon Mowbray in "Noises Off," Mel in the original workshops and performances of "'Til Death Do Us Part," and most recently Margaret in "The Glace Bay Miners' Museum." Cat is also a gifted musician and played bass in the band for the new musical, "Rain on the Parade" by Evan Brown and GaRRy Williams. Cat also has a strong love for costuming, though they haven't worked those muscles as much as they'd like since moving to Nova Scotia. Currently, Cat is working on their own show, a one-person musical called "Cat: A Musical," to be presented as a workshop at the upcoming OutFest Theatre Festival.
