Lisa Randall

BIO

Lisa Randall is an emerging playwright, lyricist/songwriter/singer, actor, community animator. She has written and workshopped two plays and looks forward to the day when they can be produced. Currently she is the Museum Administrator of Todmorden Mills Heritage Site and the Market Gallery with the City of Toronto. Lisa graduated from Studio 58 in Vancouver and toured children’s theatre for Green Thumb and play development with a few other companies and a theatre collective. Lisa danced with EDAM Dance and for many years co-led pop bands Against the Grain and Freedom Rains writing lyrics and singing and received a FACTOR recording grant. Two albums were recorded and co-produced. Lisa is co-creator of She-Rites, a women’s empowerment program with writing for healing, and drama for dreaming workshops as a part of the City of Toronto’s Awakenings Program to decolonize museums and support #untold stories of diverse people who were always here or were early settlers. Lisa worked at CultureLink Settlement and Community Services for 16 years with newcomer settlement and wellness programs, youth theatre projects and in program development and co-creation. She has done commercials and TV/web series and received a Theatre Ontario playwrighting mentorship grant.
