PARC’s website is the most detailed source for information, providing a platform for promotion to prospective producers, academics, researchers, students, other playwrights and theatre practitioners.

Playwrights can update their own profiles in the Playwright Database to ensure information is accurate and current.

The website features many resources for playwrights and producers. Information on programs and services, news and events, our script library catalogue listings and useful resource links are just a few of the things our website offers.

Be sure to “like” Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre on Facebook. It is the fastest and easiest way to keep in touch with upcoming events, shows and workshops, as well as to watch livestream PARC events.

The play development process is not complete until the play has been realized for an audience.

PARC has connections with theatre companies across Canada and will advise you on who may be interested in your piece and promote your work or connect your to those Artistic Directors, where possible. PARC will work with you to find a production home for your play – whether that is help finding a suitable producing theatre or helping you secure funding to self produce.

Though we cannot guarantee your play will be produced, we will endeavour to connect you with suitable resources and offer support through to the premiere (and beyond!).

The Library Catalogue is a comprehensive list of scripts by PARC member and other Atlantic Canadian playwrights, both published and unpublished. Anyone can search through the Library Catalogue on the PARC website by cast size, genre, playwright or number of acts. Each catalogue entry includes more detailed information in regards to cast gender breakdown, approximate run time, developmental and production  history as well as contact information for production purposes. It is noted whether the script is currently available in the Script Library and the goal is to have all catalogue listed plays in hard copy in the Script Library, as a useable resource, as well as an archival record.
