Synopsis

​When Maëllie chooses to leave Fredericton to join her lover in Nunavut, her friends will come to her home to have a last night together as a group. Feeling the end of their friendship approaching, and captive of a heat wave that strikes New Brunswick, this group will explode in a stifling atmosphere behind closed doors.

Production History

​This is the first professional francophone play to be set in south-western New Brunswick. It’s first public reading was on November 17, 2017, in Fredericton’s Centre Communautaire Sainte-Anne. Other readings have taken place in Moncton in March and April of 2018. On March 16, 2018, an excerpt of the play was read on Radio-Canada’s national broadcast Plus on est de fous, plus on lit!. Foreplay will be produced on stage in January 2019 in Fredericton.
